"Tree-ts"

This is one of my paintings that was inspired by a drawing I did of a lolly tree when I was 5 years old. It's my favourite one to paint! The tree grows cupcakes, lolly pops, freckles and jelly beans. It's surrounded by fairy bread butterflies fluttering amongst lolly pop flowers and the two little girls collecting the "goodies". Wouldn't it be nice to grow a tree like this? I'd never keep my little ones out of it though!!

Nursing Necklaces

I was inspired to create these as i was having difficulty with breast feeding Haidee. She kept sticking her fingers up my nose and clawing at my chest. I had heard of the concept of a nursing necklace but the only ones available were beaded and presented alot of safety issues. So i gathered all my felt and buttons and went to work. The end result was  charming. They are all handstitched by myself and are suspended by a silk chord that is length adjustable. They are textural and vibrant and babies just love them! They are also handy to wear at parties or shopping etc. to distract your baby while you mingle or shop!

"Tweety Twigs"

I was selling these for the first time last weekend at Mathilda's Market. I recieved wonderful feedback and lots of orders! I can make them in any colour. My favourite thing about the creative process is to mix/match fabric patterns and ribbons. They are so whimsical and really lovely to make. They look better if suspended by fishing line, almost like they are floating in mid air. I hope you like them!

Hello!

Hello everyone! My name is Alisa and I'm a jewellery designer and Artist from Sydney. I create beautiful one-off pieces with materials sourced from all around the world. I love rummaging through vintage markets and antique stores....... looking for various laces, beads fabrics and buttons. My work is a journey of re-awakening things with a forgotten past.

I've recently started making whimsical things for New mothers, babies and children. I call this my "Cookie la-la" range of goodies. Included in this range are my beautiful hand sewn "tweety" and "heart" mobiles,  paintings inspired by drawings i did as a child and my latest venture, Nursing Necklaces (specifically designed for breast feeding mothers with fidgety babies).

I'm looking forward to sharing my work and my passions with you all!
